#theConversationsCrushes: Patsy Mugabi Part2

Patsy Mugabi

On Life

A woman I look up to so much is poet and author Maya Angelou.
She once said, “One isn’t necessarily born with courage, but one is born with potential. Without courage, we cannot practice any other virtue with consistency. We can’t be kind, true, merciful, generous, or honest.”

So on that note, what’s the most courageous thing you’ve done lately?

Oh!!! Me too! Maya Angelou! Can I actually change my answer and go back and say Auntie Maya Angelou the late? I love her, love her!

Can I just say I love you! Gurl… Sandrah, you are a boss babe…Most courageous thing I have done is to keep showing up especially on days when I don’t feel 100% even if it’s 10% a small win. I am a big believer in small daily wins compounding.

What’s lingering in your mind these days?Moving in silence so the results will definitely show themselves. I have practiced this for the last 6 months and I am grateful.

Do you believe in God? How has that belief shaped your life and decisions?
I am a very big believer in God, I wouldn’t say it’s religious maybe spiritual.
I believe that there are so many things that I have gone through and it’s only God, that was only God, that wasn’t even me. So having a relationship with him has definitely kept me grounded, I have learnt to dream big enough because I know that God can afford it.

Did I say I love these questions!

On Dreaming like a Dream

What are you excited about right now?
Something in the pipeline, for our fam/money team? Maybe it would be something in line with the Conversation256 who knows? Who knows? (happy dance!!)

Where do you see your platform going this year?

I thought it would be a podcast but… maybe that’s on pause.  But again as I said it’s a surprise, if it’s a podcast everyone, is going to know it from the Conversation 256, but if it’s not a podcast yet… it’s a surprise!

Which Ugandans do you think should be on everyone’s radar?

Of course I have to plug my faves, my absolute favs! Nyonyozi Prim, Rebecca Nanjego, Fiona Kemi, Sharon, the ladies from Pulse For Her, Rowena Lubowa, Dushiime Kags, Kemiyondo, Valerie, A Kitchen In Uganda, Siima, Rachael Bashabe, Lucy Smize, Dr. Natalie, my list is endless…

Before we come to the end of this amazing interview, is there something I haven’t asked about that you wanted to address? If so, go ahead. If not, you can fill the space by telling me how amazing I am 🙂

Girl you are amazing! If I haven’t said it, all caps!

But I’ll end with my one of my favorite quotes by Norman Vincent Peale…
‘throw your heart over the fence and the rest will follow…”

One last thing, how can we make you famous? Where can we find you?

I am Patsy Mugabi on all platforms.

I wish everyone had the chance to listen to Patsy answer these questions! I legit laughed throughout the entire thing! The way she randomly just breaks out into song, and turns a word like wow into a tune! This was so entertaining but so insightful too. We need to find a way to bring her to the podcast! And oh, I am definitely down for any future collaboration! You’re awesome.
Thank you so much for taking the time to do this!

I appreciate your time and do not take it for granted. Thank you.
