Before I even start this, let me give full credit to Michael Reid for this poem.
Admittedly, I’m biased, but I believe we women are powerful beyond measure. We excel at multitasking. We are innately compassionate. We are natural bridge builders, peacemakers and cheerleaders. We have nurturing hearts and can move mountains when we set our minds to it.
Yet too often, we sell ourselves short. Way too short.
So as this month comes to an end; I am sharing this poem a friend sent me with all the women out there…

Dear Woman,
Sometimes
You’ll just be too much woman.
Too smart,
Too beautiful,
Too strong.
Too much of something
That makes a man feel like less of a man,
Which will start making you feel like you have to be less of a woman.
The biggest mistake you can make
Is removing jewels from your crown
To make it easier for a man to carry.
When this happens, I need you to understand,
You do not need a smaller crown –
You need a man with bigger hands.
~ Michael Reid

Now to all my readers (yes guys, even you) as you end yet another phase and prepare to start another;
May you learn to silence that inner critic that thrives on pointing out your flaws, focusing on your shortcomings, and dwelling on what you don’t have or haven’t done.
There is nothing to be gained by beating yourself up for beating yourself up.
Rather, what serves you is taking a fresh look at where you are unconsciously. Allowing this well-worn habit of dwelling on what you perceive is missing in you and around you, keeps you from taking the very actions that would connect you to your innate sufficiency. It also keeps you from truly knowing that you are enough already.
Always have been; always will be.
Remember; No one is born with an immunity to self-doubt or fear of failure. You are no exception. But you know what?
I’m pretty certain that if you could time travel ahead 20 years from now, I’ll bet your older self would be whispering in your ear,
“Go on, be bold. Take the chance. Trust yourself. You’ve got this!”
Because you know what… you have!
And you know what else? This world needs more people who are willing to stand up and own their power, embrace their differences and dare to make their boldest mark on the world like never before.
So get to it!
With All My Love_S.
Where is your home? Where do you go most often…
