Dear self
The world out there is not what you think it is.
The movies really lie about life; they make it look so adventurous as if it’s a walk through the park.
Believe me it’s a tough journey!
Once you’re older you will know of its dark side.
Don’t be naïve; people aren’t always who and what they say they are.
I encourage you to never let people’s actions stop you from doing what your heart desires!
Start taking school seriously bro. Work hard at it now so that later on in life you don’t end up regretting why you got the grades you did.
I know by the time you are as old as I am now, you will have forgotten all this. That’s why I am writing this letter, in hopes that you can carry it around as a reminder.
The hardest lesson you will learn is the pain of heartbreak.
Let go of toxic relationships, they’ll break your heart into a million pieces that I’m still trying to put back together.
Love is a process. Don’t rush it, don’t go running after it. Spare yourself that huge heartbreak and learn that not everyone you meet is worth keeping in your life.
Smile through your toughest times, because great things are coming!
With all the love, O
The older you.
