I started this year with absolutely no certainty that I was going to write as much as I have this year. The posts may seem few and far between but for a person who had stopped writing a year or so ago; those few posts are a major victory for me. But I couldn’t have done it without you.
Yes you.
All of you that have granted me the tremendous gift of your attention.
By giving me your attention for a few minutes every week you’ve given me your precious time. Time that you could have used to do something else but you chose to fill with reading a post or various posts on theConversation 256.
And for that I’m truly grateful.
I’m amazed that you think my writing is worth paying attention too. It humbles me that my ideas, ones that I’ve always considered too random and weird to put out to the world, have been embraced by all of you.
I started this blog for selfish reasons. It was an outlet for me, a way I could hopefully make sense of the mess in my mind by writing it down. I had no intention of sharing my blog or my writing. I had absolutely no clue that I would attract such a solid honest community of engaged readers when I finally decided to do so.
So I’m here to say thank you.
To all of you.
Those who’ve followed this blog for the two years its been up, those who’ve read a few posts, even those who’ve read one post.
All of you.
I’m grateful for giving me the gift of your time and indirectly giving me the push I need to keep writing.
I will try as best as I can to never take your precious attention for granted.
All I hoped for when I started consciously sharing my work was that I could be able to inspire, put a smile and comfort you or anyone out there on a sinking boat. I hoped you could read my writing and find the lifeline within yourself to stay afloat.
I started the Conversation 256 as an outlet, to share my passion for writing and to create a safe space to find our voices, start our own conversations and tell our own stories. I hope that I have somehow helped you find, honor and own your inner spark.
Thank you. For your time. For everything.
I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes. Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You’re doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you’re Doing Something. Make New Mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody’s ever made before. Don’t freeze, don’t stop, don’t worry that it isn’t good enough, or it isn’t perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life. Whatever it is you’re scared of doing, Do it.
May the new year grant you all that you deeply desire and more. May it be a year filled with self discovery, self exploration, self love and acceptance and inner peace and happiness for you and your families.
Happiest New Year💫🎉 ❤️
I love you all.
With All My Love_S
Am ready to make more new mistakes after reading this! This is powerful ❤️
Hahha thank you. But be careful friend, that shouldn’t be cause for you to make reckless mistakes.😊
